A consultative meeting titled “Mega Development Project in Kalapara: A Perspective on Human Rights and Environment” was convened yesterday at Mallika Restaurant in Patuakhali. The event was jointly organized by the Barisal Divisional Environment and Public Safety Forum and the Kalapara Environment and Public Safety Mancha, with the support of #Prantajon.

Key speakers at the meeting included Mr. Jahidur Rahman, Staff Reporter of Daily Samakal; Mr. Mejbahuddin Mannu, a member of the Kalapara Environment and Public Safety Mancha; Mr. Shubhankar Chakraborty, Coordinator of the Barisal Divisional Environment and Public Safety Forum; and Mr. Tauhedul Islam Shahjad, Executive Director of Prantajon. Journalists from Patuakhali also participated in the discussions.
